Is it too high, too wide or too long? Check the vehicle and load against the national limits in force from 1 August 2026, see whether it is restricted access, and what signs, flags and pilots an oversize load needs.

The HVNL rules used in Queensland, NSW, Victoria, SA, Tasmania and the ACT. Western Australia and the Northern Territory set their own.
The rear overhang line is the centre of the rear axle group. Rear overhang is measured from there to the back of the vehicle or its load.
